My personal trade fair experience:

Themed "Take C.A.R.E. Curiosity. Action. Responsibility. Experience", more than 40,000 visitors attended the dmexco in Cologne from 12 to 13 September. Participating for the tenth time already: promio.net GmbH.

For me, however, it was the first time I have visited a trade fair and so I was accordingly excited. I started working as a student trainee in marketing in August and was able to support my team in planning and executing the trade fair.

After the successful launch of the new customer engagement suite promio.connect last year,  the aim of the trade fair appearance was to present the multichannnel extensions in particular. Individual and cross-channel communication is the essence of e-marketing. Thanks to promio.connect and the multichannel functionality, you can now manage communication via the channels email, app-push, web-push, SMS and print mailings centrally in one platform.

While preparing for the event, our sales team already arranged appointments with existing and potential customers. They came straight to our booth in hall 6. During both days of the fair the team worked hard and had the opportunity for many interesting conversations.

The live presentation of promio.connect was very well received. In addition, the barista we hired attracted a great number of interested visitors with his tasty coffee. We offered a free coffee for every visitor, if in return we were allowed to scan the dmexco ticket for the promio.net B2B newsletter. Opt-in emails were then sent to the contacts gained: A win-win situation for both sides!

Not to forget: our unified outfits. The look consisting of a white blouse / shirt, jeans and dark red vans was quite an attention grabber. My main task during the fair was to welcome the customers and take care of their well-being. Accordingly, I was able to engage in many interesting conversations. Even the two blisters I got from wearing the new shoes could not deceive my positive mood.

The dmexco was a complete success! This is ultimately thanks to our numerous visitors and the great talks!

Both the team and I are already looking forward to next year and will soon start with the planning.
